Hey there, I'm Danielle Blancher, a seasoned wedding photographer currently living out my dream in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. But, did you know that long before my life was filled with beach weddings and sunsets, I was the Queen of Nightclub Photography in Toronto?

Flashback to the days when digital cameras were a novelty and cellphones were not as advanced as they are now, I was the one capturing the energy, the excitement, and the sheer joy of nightclub life. For almost a decade in my 20s, I was the go-to girl for nightclub photography. Straight from shooting weddings, I would hustle to the clubs from 11 pm-2 am. I was all about that hustle and bustle, a real go-getter!

I was known for my drag shutter photos and dancing shots. I would weave through the crowds, capturing the wild energy of the night in my lens. Every smile, every dance move, every shared laugh - became a part of my canvas. At a time when most nightclub photographers were men, I was the only chick who had residencies at multiple nightclubs. It was a challenge, but it was also exhilarating.

Fast forward to today, and my journey from the nightclubs of Toronto to the serene beaches of Playa del Carmen has been nothing short of extraordinary. Those skills I honed in those loud, bustling nightclubs have been the secret behind capturing some of the best dancing photos at weddings. I went from shooting under strobe lights to shooting under the setting sun, and it's been a beautiful journey.

I still love the thrill of capturing candid moments, just as I did in the nightclubs. However, now I get to do it at weddings, where love is always the guest of honor. I've traded the pulsing beats of the club for the soothing sounds of the ocean, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
